Purpose
The purpose of the foundation is to provide financial support to people in modest financial circumstances, regardless of religion or gender, in order to enable them to study or do a doctorate at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich), at the University of Lucerne, at the New York City College of Technology, at The University of New Orleans or at San Francisco State University. The foundation is therefore active in Switzerland and the United States of America within the scope of its purpose. Within the scope of the purpose, the foundation provides support in the form of grants (à-fonds-perdu) to the non-profit institutions at the respective universities and colleges. In this regard, in addition to covering all or part of the study costs (or the costs of the doctorate), it can also make contributions to the maintenance costs of the students or doctoral students, such as housing, food, etc.
