Literaturhaus Zentralschweiz

A novelty, a promise: With the opening of the lit.z Literature House Central Switzerland in November 2014, Central Switzerland will have a house for language and literature. In the middle of Stans, in the historic premises of the Rosenburg patrician house, also known as Höfli, a public network point for literature and its diverse manifestations and forms of debate is being created.

Whether central Swiss or national, dialect/isch or standard language, whether lyrical, epic or dramatic, serious, satire or neither, whether podium, water glass reading, writing workshop or literary circle - the Literaturhaus should develop as a lively meeting place for a curious audience, which becomes a Exchange between authors, readers, publishers, bookstores, journalists and literary mediators.

In addition, the lit.z Literaturhaus Zentralschweiz enters into decentralized cooperations with cultural institutions in the five partner cantons of Lucerne, Obwalden, Schwyz, Uri and Zug. With a program aimed at children, young people and adults, with public events in a wide variety of formats in Nidwalden and the other cantons, lit.z is establishing itself as a literary platform and meeting place for Central Switzerland.
