The purpose of the foundation is to promote general interests by itself providing charitable and public-purpose activities and supporting others in their charitable and/or public-purpose activities. With the foundation capital and its income, the foundation aims to support and promote social, philanthropic, charitable, humanitarian, health-promoting, cultural, scientific, educational, technical, ecological and other exclusively non-profit works and projects in Switzerland and abroad. To this end, it supports and promotes projects and organizations in the general interest. Within this framework, support is intended for projects in general education, ecology (in particular the protection of monuments, homeland, nature, the environment and animals), the interests of sport (in particular the promotion of mass sport), research and science as well as art and culture ( especially painting and music). In order to fulfill this purpose, the foundation can also support other foundations and organizations, in particular the E.G. Bührle (CHE-101.868.987) and the Géza Anda Foundation (CHE-110.234.882). Furthermore, the foundation supports and promotes projects of social welfare, human rights, peacebuilding and other social goals within the meaning of Art. 41 of the Federal Constitution of the Swiss Confederation. In this context, the foundation should also promote projects that help to bridge cultural differences, especially between different nations, peoples and age groups, and to promote mutual understanding. For these purposes, it can provide financial support, sponsorship contributions, donations and scholarships, as well as suspend awards that recognize achievements in line with the purpose of the foundation. The purpose of the foundation is limited to the promotion of general interests within the meaning of the applicable regulations and practices of the Swiss tax authorities and courts for public and charitable purposes. The foundation is politically and denominationally neutral and non-governmental. The foundation pursues neither commercial nor self-help purposes. It also does not pursue any other commercial purposes and does not seek any profit. The foundation can also transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, create such and/or support existing ones. Donations to relatives or natural or legal persons close to the founder or members of the foundation board are excluded. This does not include donations to other charitable and/or public foundations set up by the same founder and/or natural and/or legal persons close to him or by members of the foundation board and/or natural and/or legal persons close to them.
