Johann Christian Bach und Klarinettenkonzerte

In 2023 we will again dedicate it to the youngest Bach son, Johann Christian.

The two sacred works "Requiem" and "Miserere" by Johann Christan Bach may have a high degree of rarity. Have they ever been heard in Switzerland? Thankfully, we received the tribal material for these works from Einsiedeln Abbey. We are very grateful for this generosity and are pleased to be able to present you with something unknown and valuable once again, as we did with these works in 2013 and 2018. They are worth playing and listening to.

Of course, we are also accompanied by cantatas by Johann Sebastan Bach.

And we are again accompanied by a soloist - this year the internationally active Dimitri Ashkenazy through the 4 concerts of the entire ensemble. The clarinet is his instrument and he will play concertos with us by Carl Stamitz, Ignaz Pleyel, Carl Maria von Weber and of course by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
