INVENTUS BERN - Stiftung

The purpose of the foundation is to provide financial support to students at the Bern University of Applied Sciences who are completing training or further education, particularly in the fields of technology, IT or architecture, preferably while working. It also aims to promote innovative projects that are initiated or accompanied by the Bern University of Applied Sciences, including by supporting technology transfers and participating in start-ups. The financial support has to be provided as follows: Loans for training and further education to students; Awarding of prizes for special achievements, support of innovation projects in applied research and development at the Bern University of Applied Sciences; Contributions to equipping ICT laboratories for technology transfer projects at the Bern University of Applied Sciences; Contributions to projects at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, which serve the development of diagnostic and therapeutic devices in the fields of microsurgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, ENT and pulmonology (including dermatology). As far as it is not a loan, the financial support should not be financed from the capital but from the long-term achievable return (capital gains and income) of the foundation's assets. The foundation can acquire, resell, rent or encumber land. The foundation can work with organizations that pursue similar purposes. The foundation has a charitable character and does not pursue any profit-making purpose.
