The promotion and support, direct or indirect, of academic research and teaching in the fields of human medicine, chemistry and physics, in order to improve the conditions of life and health of man. The Foundation carries out its activities in Ticino and abroad, with particular attention to Israel. In order to achieve these objectives, the Foundation allocates funds for the financing of university structures, for academic research and teaching in these fields, in particular to research institutes and academic institutes in Israel, with particular attention to the Weizmann Institute of Science, respectively to research institutes and academic institutes in Ticino and Switzerland. The Foundation can also provide scholarships and research grants, in the areas falling within the scope of the Foundation, to particularly deserving students and researchers, with particular attention to students and researchers domiciled in Ticino and Israel. The Foundation also aims to preserve a collection of Roman antiquities. The Foundation may exhibit these objects to the public and may lend them to museums or other entities with similar purposes, in Ticino and abroad. The Foundation may transfer these objects to public bodies or entities that pursue public or public utility purposes, if such transfer proves to be the best solution to ensure optimal conservation of the collection and to allow better accessibility of the public to the latter. As far as possible, the Foundation will try to preserve the unity of the collection.
