Fondation Philanthropia
Purpose
The purpose of the foundation is to support, in Switzerland and abroad, charitable actions in one or / and other of the following four areas: - medical research and scientific research, - humanitarian and social assistance for people in need or affected in their physical or mental health, - the promotion and development of culture and education, - the protection of the environment and sustainable development. To achieve its goal, the foundation may receive any donation, particularly in the form of donations and bequests, must ensure its management in order to redistribute these donations or their products for the benefit of people, works or organizations leading a project falling within one of the fields aforementioned by complying to do so with the intentions, charges and conditions possibly stipulated by the donors. The foundation achieves its goal by the means that its Board deems appropriate, in particular by: - the allocation of funds to organizations active in the aforementioned fields, - ad hoc support for one or more humanitarian actions chosen by the Foundation Board , - the financing of university teaching institutes, - the granting of scholarships to students, doctoral students and other university or similar researchers, - the organization of conferences and other forums bringing together researchers, - the publication of scientific works, - the allocation of scholarships allowing talented young people in an artistic or sporting field to pursue an adequate training, - support for projects directly linked to sustainable development, and all other means approved by the Foundation Board. This foundation acts on a non-profit basis.
