Fondation Herzog
Purpose
Academic processing of photographic collections, whether for a fee or free of charge; Management of the Laboratorium Herzog (Herzog Laboratory, Laboratoire Herzog) as a chargeable contribution from the Foundation on the one hand to the archiving, restoration and conservation of photo collections and on the other hand as a medium of art transfer by holding workshops, symposia, specialist conferences and guided tours; Guided tour and opening of the Herzog Library (Herzog Library, Bibliothèque Herzog) as a fund for science and those interested in photography; Production and organization of exhibitions, namely in our own exhibition rooms as well as at other exhibition locations and by means of traveling exhibitions; Issuing of publications such as exhibition catalogs, books, magazines, postcards, posters, videos; Facilitation of teaching and research, in particular basic research, through the payment of a fund of photography for national and international institutions in the fields of art and media studies, ethnography, ethnology, history, medicine, geology and sociology; Buying and selling of photographs.
