Arcadia Foundation

Promotion of the cultural life of the Republic and Canton of Ticino in the visual and visual arts sector. In particular, the Foundation aims to: the organization, operation and administration of an art museum, with a view to cultural, social and economic development of the city of Lugano and the Republic and Canton of Ticino; the promotion and development of contacts and agreements with local public and private institutions; the enhancement and study of the artistic heritage of the Republic and Canton of Ticino, with economic support for quality local artistic production; the conservation and study of works of art; the promotion and economic support of scientific and cultural research, also for the purpose of creating catalogs raisonnes and monographs of artists as well as literary and / or historical works in general; the acquisition of works of art to be allocated to the Foundation's assets; public display of works of art of local, national and international interest; the organization of cultural events and events and participation in similar initiatives promoted by third parties; sponsorship of public cultural events; collaboration with schools, organizations and associations operating in the visual and visual arts sector with public interest purposes; the periodic promotion of artistic prize competitions; the granting of scholarships to promising young artists. The foundation may carry out any other activity and operation connected and intended to achieve the aforementioned purposes. Within the framework of the aforementioned purposes, the foundation is active in the Canton of Ticino. The Foundation is not for profit and exclusively pursues public utility purposes.
